Change

The Tipping Point - Creating Contagious Commitment

This exciting workshop is based around a computer simulation which allows participants to experiment with adjusting the five change levers and seeing how commitment grows - or fails to grow - through a three year change project.

Based on research by Andrea Shapiro, and her synthesis of this into an open-systems model (published in her book Creating Contagious Commitment) this is proving an extremely popular and valuable workshop.

It challenges the assumptions people bring to their change planning, and helps leadership teams to develop a shared understanding and a jointly-owned plan.

This workshop is particularly valuable if attended by the whole leadership team responsible for implementing a change.

The Human Aspects of Change

This workshop looks at the human dynamics underlying change. Drawing on models such as the Transition Curve, the work of William Bridges, and a Gestalt approach to resistance, as well as systems theory, participants deepen their understanding of what happens to people individually and collectively in change, and how to lead in that context.

The research-based material is enlightened and challenged by my own experience and that of participants to deepen understanding and check relevance.

Participants apply the new understandings to their real situations and develop plans to ensure that they bring people with them as they lead change.
