Leadership

Leading in Times of Change

My leadership workshops are explorations of effective leadership undertaken by participants, supported by input and discussion drawing on a whole range of ideas:

Current understanding of change,
Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
research by people like John Kotter
Emergent Leadership

and so on.

These workshops are modular: after initial input, discussion and exploration, participants return to their workplaces to observe and collect examples of leadership, good, bad and ugly.

On the second module, they have an opportunity for skills practice in a business simulation, and then consolidate their learning into presentations and plans for the future. Participants find this an extremely stimulating and effective approach, rather than being taught the ‘right’ way to lead...

I often run these workshops in partnership with Warren Scott of Oakwood Learning.
